Football Pitches

We design and build 3G synthetic astro turf football pitches using the most up-to-date advances in artificial grass technology. We also install 5-aside football pitches using sand-based and long-pile synthetic grass, tarmac and polymeric surfaces. Artificial football pitches cost from approximately £60/m2 depending on turf, fencing and lighting specifications. We give free estimates and would be delighted to help you with your project.

The most common artificial turf football surfaces are a 60mm pile height carpet laid directly onto a free-draining stone sub-base or a 40mm pile height carpet laid onto a shockpad over a dynamic (tarmac) stabilising base layer which sits on a free-draining stone sub-base. The carpet is infilled with sand and rubber to meet shock absorbency requirements.

Football fencing is commonly weld mesh or rebound mesh. Pitch lighting levels for football are generally 200 lux. A lower level of 120 lux may be used for training.
